About

Better Home began with a simple idea: a better home isn’t a bigger home or a more expensive one. It is a home that fits the way you live, soft where you rest, bright where you work and full of things you love looking at.

What we believe

We believe in warm materials that get better with age: linen, wood, clay, wool and stone. We believe in good light, thoughtful layouts and rooms that are lived in rather than staged. And we believe that small changes, done with care, can transform how a home feels.

What you’ll find here

• Room-by-room ideas for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, workspaces and outdoor spaces.
• Styling know-how, from shelf styling to layered lighting and colour.
• The Shelf, a tightly edited selection of the most-loved home decor on Amazon.
• The Wire, the best interiors stories from around the web, gathered in one place.

How we choose products

Every product on The Shelf is a genuine best seller with thousands of customer ratings. We pick pieces that suit a warm, timeless style and that we would happily put in our own homes. Some links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.

Thanks for being here. Put the kettle on and make yourself at home.
